Brampton And Regional Islamic Centre (BARIC)
Location: Brampton, Ontario
Brampton And Regional Islamic Centre (BARIC) is a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to provide religious and community services to the Muslim Community of East Brampton, Ontario. The Centre currently operates from a 5,600 sq.ft. space in a commercial plaza, offering daily prayers, Jumu’ah prayers, Ramadan programs, youth initiatives, Madrasa classes, and various other religious services. BARIC is a rapidly growing organization and is actively working toward establishing a new Centre on its purchased land, with a vision to expand its programs and better serve the community.
BARIC is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and community-focused Imam to join our growing Masjid. We are looking for a leader who brings strong spiritual grounding, positive energy, and a genuine passion for building a vibrant and united Muslim community.

· Ability to deliver inspiring khutbahs, halaqas, and educational sessions.

· Commitment to representing BARIC’s values of inclusivity, service, and excellence.
Responsibilities:
· Lead daily prayers, Jumu’ah khutbahs, Eid prayers, and special religious services.
· Teach Madrasa students and serve as Madrasa Principal.
· Plan and manage Ramadan programs.
· Organize and manage the Kid’s Summer program.
· Develop youth programs, mentorship initiatives, and community activities.
· Deliver educational programs such as lectures, halaqas, and workshops.
· Provide spiritual counseling and guidance to congregants.
· Engage positively with families, seniors, and newcomers to foster a welcoming environment.
· Collaborate with BARIC management on community development and outreach.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Islamic Studies from an accredited Islamic institution or recognized certification in Qur’an, fiqh, and Islamic studies.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Imam.
· A Sunni Muslim well-versed in the Qur’an, Sunnah, and Islamic Jurisprudence.
· Strong knowledge of Qur’anic sciences and Tajweed.
· Preferably a Hafiz of the Qur’an.
· Ability to engage and guide youth and community members of all ages.
· Fundraising experience for Masjid projects is an asset.
· Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).
· Computer literacy.
· Ability to lead and support a culturally diverse Muslim community in the Canadian context.
· Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Compensation
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
