- BARIC does not use Zakat or Sadaqah collections for any mosque-related expenses. All Zakat and Sadaqah contributions are dedicated exclusively to supporting individuals and communities in urgent need, both within Canada and internationally. Beneficiaries included, among others, flood victims in Pakistan, earthquake victims in Afghanistan and Morocco, flood-affected communities in Libya and Bangladesh, wildfire victims in Alberta, and humanitarian relief efforts in Palestine, Yemen, and Sudan; also, needy communities in Canada.
- To ensure transparency and proper stewardship, a separate bank account is maintained for all Zakat and Sadaqah funds. All such contributions are deposited directly into this account, and disbursements are made solely through cheques issued to Canadian-registered charities.
